It is important that all information collected through the Program DATCAP is reliable, permitting program administrators and evaluators to obtain accurate estimates of the opportunity cost of running a program.

The Program DATCAP instrument is a carefully structured set of sequential questions.   Clear instructions from the accompanying User's Manual guide the interviewer as well as the respondent through the data collection process.

It is therefore essential that the User's Manual is also downloaded and read alongside the Program DATCAP.
